PH56144: ADMIN TOOL RETURNS MISLEADING PACKAGE DEPENDENCIES FOR INDEXES

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When using the K line command on an Index to view the package
  dependencies, Admin Tool will return, along with the current
  packages, packages that used to use the index but no longer are
  dependent on the index. Admin Tool is retrieving current,
  previous, and original packages that for that index.

  ****************************************************************
  When issuing the 'K-Package' command on objects, then
  issuing the 'DP-Show Dependencies' command on
  the package, Db2 Admin Tool returns old
  dependent packages alongside the current ones.
  

Problem conclusion

• The problem has been resolved. The SQL query has been updated to
  return only current dependent packages. This change applies to
  the following objects:
  
  - Aliases
  - Databases
  - Functions
  - Triggers
  - Stored procedures
  - Sequences
  - Table spaces
  - Tables
  - Views
  - Indexes
  - Table authorizations
