  *                 task.                                        *

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Improve how z/OSMF Software Management  *
  *                      creates and deploys portable software   *
  *                      instances containing zFS data sets.     *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION: The z/OSMF Software Management task in z/OS  *
  *                 3.1, 2.5 and 2.4 is enhanced to improve the  *
  *                 way zFS data sets are processed during       *
  *                 Export and Deployment actions. The           *
  *                 DUMP/RESTORE commands for DFSMSdss program   *
  *                 ADRDSSU will no longer be used to zip and    *
  *                 unzip zFS data sets.                         *
  ****************************************************************
  The z/OSMF Software Management task has been enhanced as
  follows:
  
  -The Deployment action in z/OSMF Software Management task has
  been updated to
  1. Eliminate required read authorization to Portable Software
  Instance originating data set names (CB.** data sets for IBM).
  2. Allow a data class specification to support target data sets
  that are bigger than 4GB.
  3. Support SMS to non-SMS data set conversion for target data
  sets during installation of a Portable Software Instance.
  
  -New restrictions have been added to the Deployment action when
  creating a new master catalog to protect against collisions
  when a VSAM data set name is the subset of another data set's
  name.
  
  -A deployment operation which creates a new master catalog will
  correctly create target data sets that are directly cataloged
  and are not referenced by one or more DDDEF entries with the
  temporary catalog alias data set name prefix.
  
  -The URL for IBM's Product Information file has been updated to
  use https instead of http because the server it resides on no
  longer supports unsecured download.
  
  
  -The Software Management task database has been updated to
  version '0x00030101'.
  
  Note:  After installing this update, if you create a Portable
  Software Instance that contains one or more zFS data sets (using
  the Export action on a Software Instance), then this update must
  also be installed on any z/OSMF system used to deploy that
  Portable Software Instance in order to properly process the
  archive files for the zFS data sets.

Problem conclusion

• If message IZUD277E is displayed during a Portable Software
  Instance Add action indicating "version=9" then you need to
  install the PTF for this APAR:
  IZUD277E: An error was found in file "IZUD00DF.json". Error:
  "The file contains data that is not supported by the current
  level of z/OSMF.  The version = 9."
