PH55235: LOAD PROCESSING OF CLOB UNICODE COLUMNS ENDS WITH SQLCODE = -433

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• 1. Customer is performing LOAD processing of an EBCDIC table
  which has CLOB column(s) in Unicode UTF-8.
  Customer specifies FORCE_EXTERNAL_LOBS YES, or the LOB data
  exceeds 32K in length and external LOB PDSes will be used for
  CLOBF processing.
  The process ends with DB2 LOAD utility reporting error of
  SQLCODE = -433.
  
  2. When customer specifies LOAD_DSNPRFX for LOAD processing,
  the encoding of the data to be loaded is being placed in to the
  immutable section of the SYSIN for the LOAD utility.
  The encoding of the data should be dynamically generated and
  placed in the Xnnn control statement files.
  This introduces backward incompatibility with prior releases in
  respect to processing of ASCII and Unicode data and may cause
  LOAD errors.

• Optim processing will be corrected.

  for LOAD processing of LOB Unicode data.
