PH55123: THE LOOP IN DFHDSDS3'S STIMER ARRAY WITH AN ELEMENT POINTING TO ITSELF

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• CICS region using high CPU but no user tasks seem to be using
  any CPU, SYSTRACE shows loop in DFHDSDS3 processing the CICS
  STIMER_ARRAY.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: CPU loop in module DFHDSDS3 while       *
  *                      processing STIMER_ARRAY elements.       *
  ****************************************************************
  CICS enters an un-ending loop in module DFHDSDS3 because a
  STIMER_ARRAY element's STIMER_NEXT_ACTIVE index points to
  itself.
  CPU usage becomes very high, but CICS is unable to process
  work on the QR TCB.
  

Problem conclusion

• DFHDSDS3 has been modified to correct the way that the
  STIMER_ARRAY is managed.
