APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When running WebSphere Optimized Local Adapters on WebSphere
v8.5.5 or v9.0.5 with an unsupported version of CICS, a message
will be generated indicating the version is not supported.
The message when CICS 6.1 is not supported looks like:
BBOA8000I: The current CICS level 0601 is not supported

Local fix

  • This message can be ignored.

User receives the message BBOA8000I: The current CICS level
0601 is not supported. When connecting to CICS 6.1 using
WebSphere Optimized local adapters.

Problem conclusion

  • Added support for CICS 6.1 to WebSphere Optimized Local Adapters

The fix for this APAR is targeted for inclusion in fix pack
9.0.5.17 and, 8.5.5.25. For more information, see 'Recommended
