Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: Users of the IBM Unified Management Server * * for z/OS and related products: * * - IMS Administration Foundation for z/OS * * - Db2 DevOps Experience for z/OS * * - Db2 Administration Foundation for z/OS * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: This APAR provides enhancements, * * usability updates, and issue fixes as * * described in the Problem Summary. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the PTF that is provided by this APAR. * **************************************************************** (draft, still adding items) 1. Provide an option to enable Active/Passive High Availability of UMS via DVIPA. 2. Provide an option to use SAF to determine authorized users and team membership instead of the userlist and teamlist. 3. Provide an option to process MVS data sets and/or USS directories where other products and tools have defined product and customization yaml files in order to be discovered by UMS. 4. Add additional debug messages to UMS configuration scripts 5. Correct issue where incorrect version number might be displayed when clicking on the properties tab of the UMS Zowe app icon 6. Address issue where error is thrown when using signed certificates and zowe.verifyCertificates = STRICT 7. Improve how izp-gen-cacerts.sh checks for safkeyring 8. Do not send client certificates to z/OSMF when clientAuthenticationSupported=true and clientAuthentication=false 9. Address issue where hostname might be blank for discovered subsystems. 10. For users of IMS Administration Foundation, the DBDLIB and PSBLIB requirement for DBD and PSB Map feature that enables visualization of IMS database segment structures and segment relationships will be removed for IMS data sharing groups that use IMS Catalog. Note: This support needs IBM IMS Library Integrity Utilities for z/OS v2.2 (Program Number 5655-U08) and its maintenance provided by APAR PH54565. For details, see the updated "What's new in Unified Management Server" section of the UMS 1.2 User Guide (Document number: SC27-9151) 11. The IMS data sharing group registration issue reported by the APAR PH54264 for IMS Administration Foundation (component ID: 5655V93AF) will be resolved by the maintenance provided by this APAR.
