PH54358: INVALID SUBELEMENT IS REPORTED IN THE 999 FOR HI SEGMENT

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The IBM Transformation Extender Healthcare Payer packs,
  Compliance Check process is reporting an invalid subelement
  position for subelement errors that occur after a date
  subelement (D8 or RD8) in a Composite Element.  An error in the
  HI segment is a typical case for this.
  
  For example, in the HI*BE segment that has all subelements
  present, with the last subelement (9) being an invalid code
  value, such as the X in the following line.
  
  HI*BE:A1:RD8:20220101-20220102:1:9:999:ABC:X
  
  In the resulting 999, this is incorrectly reported as subelement
  11 being in error.

  There is no subelement 11 and should be subelement 9.
