APAR status

Error description

  • When a server is located on the same machine as the Load
Balancer and MAC forwarding is configured, the server must be
marked as collocated. LB should automatically set this flag
when the server address matches LB's NFA address.

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: A collocated server must be marked as   *
*                      collocated. The Load Balancer should    *
*                      do this automatically when the server   *
*                      IP matches the NFA IP.                  *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION:  Use the 'dscontrol server set' command to   *
*                  set the collocated flag when the server is  *
*                  collocated and defined for MAC forwarding.  *
****************************************************************
A collocated server is a server that resides on the same
machine as the Load Balancer. When the server is defined using
MAC-forwarding, the collocated flag must be set. When a server
is added and the server iP is the same as the non-forwarding
address (NFA) address of the Load Balancer, the Load Balancer
should automatically set this flag and it does not.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • COde corrected to set the collocated flag when the server IP
is the same as the NFA address.
