PH53593: PARSER FAILS TO TOKENIZE VALUES PRECEDING CONCAT OPERATOR '!!' UNDER CCSID 500 (ADMIN TOOL V13)

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When generating DDL under CCSID 500, the parser fails to output
  previous tokens when encountering concat operator '!!', causing
  strings/values between the concat operator to be ignored and not
   tokenized. The parser should properly output those tokens
  before moving on.

  In CCSID 500, the parser fails to tokenize values preceding
  the X'BBBB' concat operator, which causes statements such as
  <value><concat><value><concat>
  to be interpreted as
  <value><concat><concat>.
  

Problem conclusion

• The problem has been resolved.
  The parser will properly tokenize values preceding the X'BBBB'
  concat operator.
