  • wsadmin>AdminTask.enablePasswordEncryption()
WASX7015E: Exception running command:
"AdminTask.enablePasswordEncryption()"; exception information:
com.ibm.websphere.management.cmdframework.CommandException:
CWPKI0773E: The aes value of the defaultAlgorithm parameter is
valid, but was not accepted, possibly due to a configuration
issue. The updated but unsaved files were discarded.

After upgrading to fixpack 8.5.5.23 or 9.0.5.15,
AdminTask.enablePasswordEncryption() throws CWPKI0773E error.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The issue was introduced by PH50256. The bug has been fixed.

The fix for this APAR is targeted for inclusion in fix pack
8.5.5.24 and 9.0.5.16. For more information, see 'Recommended
