    ****************************************************************
Certain Db2 for z/OS instrumentation records (IFCIDs) can become
very large under certain circumstances. For example on systems
with a lot of (Group) Buffer Pools configured and several
Accelerators (IDAAs) paired and operational, IFCID 2 can be
become very large and has to be split by the Db2 z/OS engine
into multiple IFCID 2 records (written at the same time).
A similar situation can occurs with IFCID 199 that retrieves
    data set statistics.

Upon request from the various real-time monitoring interfaces,
the OMEGAMON for Db2 Collector PE Server sub-task converts IFC
records into an internal format and those records that become
too large will have to be split into chunks. During this split
process an error occurred that was not setting the data set
repetition length properly, thus causing the subsequent
processing to abend with 0C4 RC 11.

Problem conclusion

  • The PE Server code logic as been adjusted to properly set the
data section length during the IFCID split process.
