MONITOR CONNECTIONS FOR SECURITY * * profiles are not applied for * * qualifying connections. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * * Apply corrective PTF when available * **************************************************************** 1. ABND=0C4-00000038, LOC=DSNTGSCC.DSNT1RSP+00DCE can occur during -START PROFILE for profiles defined in the DSN_PROFILE_TABLE with a LOCATION column containing a domain name. The abend occurs due to an invalid parameter list address. 2. ABND=04E-00D30014, LOC=DSNLDTML.DSNLTEXC:0007 can occur during resynchronization of indoubt threads. The abend occurs because a profile check is performed when it is not applicable for resync connections. 3. MONITOR CONNECTIONS FOR SECURITY profiles may not be applied for qualifying connections when other profiles are also defined in the DSN_PROFILE_TABLE. This issue occurs because an internal profile structure can be reset during -START PROFILE depending on the order of processing of the profile rows.
Problem conclusion
1. -START PROFILE has been changed to always pass a valid parameter list address when the LOCATION column contains a domain name. 2. Profile checks have been removed during resynchronization of indoubt threads because they are not applicable. 3. -START PROFILE has been changed to build internal profile structures consistently regardless of the order of profile rows.
