Error description

  • Db2 Admin Tool V13 generates rectype prefix
unrecognized by Db2 Admin Tool V12. This causes an error when
running the ADB27AC program


DESCRIPTION:  After upgrading to Db2 Admin Tool V13 , record
prefix "COL" was replaced by "CO2". Because of this, if a Db2
Admin Tool V12 system tries to use an IFF that was generated on
a V13 system, the prefix is not recognized.

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When an IFF file that was generated by  *
*                      Db2 Admin Tool 13.1 is run on Db2 Admin *
*                      Tool 12.1, the following error is       *
*                      returned:                               *
*                      "Unknown Interface file record type"    *
****************************************************************
Because Db2 Admin Tool 12.1 does not support column record type
"CO2", the IFF files that are produced by Db2 Admin Tool 13.1
could not be used with Db2 Admin Tool 12.1. To fix this
issue, version 12.1 is updated to read IFF files that contain
column record type "CO2" if the column name is less than 30
characters.

If the IFF files contain column names longer than 30 characters,
the following message will be displayed:

ADBC330E: Admin Tool 12.1 does not support column names longer
than 30
