PH52294: ABENDC03 MAY OCUR DURING DRF XF TERMINATION

Obtain the fix for this APAR.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• ABENDC03 may occur in DRF XF job.  This is because DRF XF does a
  GETMAIN with a DCB length of x'58' for the IMS command report
  DD RPTIMSCM.
  

Local fix

• A workaround is to set the output of RPTIMSCM to SYSOUT.

  If the DCB length of the extended function report is defined
  as x'58' in DRF XF, depending on the storage usage status of
  the entire system, if the report output destination is a data
  set, at CLOSE, an area with an address greater than the DCB
  offset x'58' and smaller than the DCB length may be broken,
  resulting in a SYSTEM ABEND.
  

Problem conclusion

• DRF XF has been modified to specify the correct length when
  issuing GETMAIN for the DCB of the Extended Functions report
  DD.
