PH52232: DEPENDENCY BASED BUILD V1.1.3 - "GIT SUBMODULE UPDATE --INIT --RECURSIVE" COMMAND FAILING

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Whilst upgrading to Git version 2.26.2-82 using the SMPE package
  Rocket Git for z/OS FMID HAL2111, the command "git submodule
  update --init --recursive" was no longer working. From the SMPE
  package install, it was discovered these files came untagged
  which lead to the failure.

  Workaround:
  Using the Miniconda installation Rocket as a guide, the
  executables are to be tagged with ISO8859-1

Problem conclusion

• UPGRADE to git-2.26.2-PL532_87 bash-5.1-18 perl-5.32.1-11 which
  have been packaged with the correct file tags.
