A Db2 monitor in the DDF address space
encountered an invalid Db2 agent block and took the ABEND0C4 in
DSN3AUCM which caused Db2 to terminate with reason code
00F30408.
Prior to the ABEND0C4, an ABEND04F occurred during which the
CCB pointer was set to 0 but the CCB wasn't freed. The recovery
routine then attempted to retry to an earlier point in the code
and free the CCB again. However, the pointer was already set to
0, causing the ABEND0C4.

Problem conclusion

  • Retry code will now check if the CCB pointer is valid before
attempting to free it.
