APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • On a new Rational Synergy 7.2.2 main server installation on
    Windows, the Synergy server process can fail to start sessions
    for its session pool if the file SYNG_INTERNAL_TMP.txt does not
    get created automatically in the %CCM_HOME%\log folder. This
    results in the installation being unusable.
    
    The CCM_HOME\log\synergy_hostname_8400.log file will have
    messages similar to:

Local fix

  • Manually create text file %CCM_HOME%\log\SYNG_INTERNAL_TMP.txt
    and add the string 'SYNG_INTERNAL_1' without quotes or a
    newline.  The file should be 15 bytes in size.
