  * It is not easy for Db2 users to                              *
  * determine the migration readiness                            *
  * status of a stand-alone Db2 subsystem                        *
  * or a Db2 data sharing group.                                 *

  Customers have long expressed the desire to be able to easily
  determine if their Db2 subsystems or groups are 'ready' to
  migrate to the next release of Db2. They can easily
  tell if their systems are at the right function level for a
  release migration but that is not the case for maintenance and
  code levels.
  Db2 users are told that the fallback SPE (System Program
  Enhancement) APAR must be on a subsystem and each
  member in a data sharing environment with Db2 started before
  they'll be eligible to migrate to the n+1 release of Db2. But
  determining if the fallback SPE APAR is on everywhere it needs
  to be can be a time consuming and error prone process.

• This APAR modifies the -DISPLAY GROUP DETAIL Db2 command
  output as follows:
  o Adds a MIGRATION READINESS REPORT.
  o Removes obsolete Sysplex Query Parallelism information
  (PARALLEL COORDINATOR and PARALLEL ASSISTANT).
  This APAR also modifies the Db2-supplied stored procedure
  SYSPROC.GET_CONFIG to support the modified -DISPLAY GROUP
  DETAIL command output.
  The new MIGRATION READINESS REPORT in the modified -DISPLAY
  GROUP DETAIL command output aims to provide real-time
  information about the migration readiness of the subsystem
  or data sharing group. This report indicates if a subsystem
  and if each member in a data sharing group has on the right
  level of code and fallback SPE APAR to be able to migrate to
  the next Db2 release. After the subsystem and active data
  sharing group member information, a summary 'MIGRATION
  READINESS STATUS:' line will indicate if a sybsystem or a
  data sharing group is ready for the migration. If a
  subsystem or data sharing group is not ready to migrate to
  the next Db2 release, an additional 'REASON:' line will be
  displayed in the output to indicate the reason that the
  subsystem or data sharing group is not yet ready to migrate.
  In a data sharing environment, the -DISPLAY GROUP DETAIL
  command output differs depending on whether this APAR
  is applied on a member where the command was executed.
  o When the -DISPLAY GROUP DETAIL command is executed on a
    member with this APAR applied, the MIGRATION READINESS
    REPORT in the command output will show complete and
    accurate results for all of the active members in the data
    sharing group, even those that do not have this APAR
    applied.
  o On the other hand, when the -DISPLAY GROUP DETAIL command
    is executed on a member where this APAR is not applied,
    the command will continue to return the prior -DISPLAY
    GROUP DETAIL output (before this APAR), which does not
    have the MIGRATION READINESS REPORT and which contains the
    obsolete Sysplex Query Parallelism information
    (Parallel Coordinator and Parallel Assistant).
  Because the -DISPLAY GROUP DETAIL output is changed by this
  APAR, the SYSPROC.GET_CONFIG stored procedure is modified
  with the following changes to the output XML document that it
  returns:
  o Information contained in the new MIGRATION READINESS REPORT
    of the -DISPLAY GROUP DETAIL command output added.
  o Obsolete Parallel Coordinator and Parallel Assistant
    entries removed.
  These changes affect the following sections of the GET_CONFIG
  XML output document:
  o Common Data Sharing Group Information section:
    The following two new dictionary entries will be inserted
    before the SCA Structure Size dictionary entry. These
    new dictionary entries are derived from the MIGRATION
    READINESS REPORT found in the -DISPLAY GROUP DETAIL command
    output.
    o Migration Readiness Status
    o Migration Readiness Reason
  o DB2 Subsystem Status Information section:
    New dictionary entries for migration readiness will replace
    the following two obsolete dictionary entries:
    o Parallel Coordinator
    o Parallel Assistant
    The following new dictionary entries for migration
    readiness are derived from the new MIGRATION READINESS
    REPORT in the -DISPLAY GROUP DETAIL command output:
    o Non-data sharing group, major_version = 2, and
      minor_version = 0:
      o Code Level
      o SPE Apar
      o Migration Eligible
      o Migration Readiness Status
      o Migration Readiness Reason
    o Otherwise:
      o Code Level
      o SPE Apar
      o Migration Eligible
