PH49836: STAT REPORT SHOWING INCORRECT VALUES FOR CICS DATA TABLES

APAR status

Error description

• DTP_ST_ALLOC_ENTRY is not being set correctly when a table fills
  up.
  The A17DTALE in DFHA17DS , is supposed to be the total amount of
  storage (KB) allocated for the record entry blocks for shared
  data tables .

Problem summary

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Incorrect statistics reported for a     *
  *                      shared data table's "Entries storage in *
  *                      use".                                   *
  ****************************************************************
  A user maintained shared data table was written to until it was
  full. When the final frame within the Entry data space was
  allocated, logic in DFHDTDC initialised it to nulls with a MVCL.
  As this took the end address of the frame from 7FFF8000 to
  80000000, the MVCL set the top bit off, so resulting in an
  invalid end address of 00000000. This caused the POOLEND and
  POOLNEXT addresses within the table's cell pool header to be
  incorrectly set up, and hence the TP_ST_ALLOC_ENTRY statistics
  field incorrectly reporting nulls.
  

Problem conclusion

• DFHDTDC has been changed to correctly set the final frame's end
  address value to 80000000.
