Error description

  • 1. Customer is performing SUBSET or RESTORE processing with a
    Row List (Point and Shoot list) of tables which contain LOB and
    XML columns.
    When an Archive Subset request having Point & Shoot selection
    criteria has been run successfully in ISPF mode, a request to
    run it again after removing the Point & Shoot criteria causes
    the process to go into an infinite loop.
    
    2. And ABEND S0C4, or U4083, may occur performing EXTRACT or
    ARCHIVE processing of DB2 tables with names exceeding the length
    of 70 characters.

    1. Optim is not handling correctly LOB and XML data after
    removal of a Row List defined for SUBSET or RESTORE processing.
    2. Optim corrupts storage with long table names while issuing
    process progress messages.
    

Problem conclusion

  • Optim processing will be corrected.
