Error description

  • If an NCPDP transaction failed validation, a rejected
transmission/rejected transaction response would be received.
Seeing several different responses as follows:

    Transmission accepted/transaction rejected (A/R)
    Transmission accepted/transaction captured (A/C)
    Transmission rejected/transaction reject (R/R)

In all cases the only segments returned in the response are the
Response Header Segment and the Response Status Segment. The
Response Header Segment and the Response Status Segment are the
only segments that are mandatory on the R/R response which we
    expect.

There is A/C response when all transactions in the file pass
validation. If it passes, then no response is expected to be
generated. The file does move forward for processing and the
response message would be the response based on how the
transaction were processed by the payer.

In batch transactions there are a mixture of A/C and A/R
responses. If the transaction in the batch passes validation, a
A/C response is created. If it fails, a A/R response is
created. Expecting only the rejected transactions to be
included in the response file with a R/R response.
