• With an influx of SMF 116 records the extractor abends
  with C78 reason code 4.
  
  Possible SA78 Abend in SMF Extractor task.
  
  No records produced when running on z.OS 2.2

  *                         logstream on z/OS 2.2.               *

  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the PTF provided.                      *
  ****************************************************************
  1. The SMF Extractor has exhausted all the available storage in
     its linkage stack.
  2. SA78 ABEND can occur in the SMF Extractor.
  3. Running z/OS 2.2 or lower using the SMF exits
     IEFU83/84/85 no data is produced.
  

Problem conclusion

• 1. The SMF Extractor linkage stack storage request has been
     increased.
  2. SMF Extractor code amended to correct SA78 ABEND.
  3. The SMF Extractor code has been updated to enable
     running z/OS 2.2 or lower using the SMF exits IEFU83/84/85.
