Error description

  • You are attempting to filter your view of the TCPIPService
entities you have in your CICSPlex. You use a filter on the
CERTIFICATE field, and your filter includes both upper and
lower case characters. CPSM is incorrectly folding the
characters in that filter to upper case, so any certificates
that include lower case characters will not match the
    filter.

For example, you have a certificate labeled
'MyCertificate'. If you filter on CERTIFICATE=M* CPSM will find
it, but if you filter on CERTIFICATE=My* it will not, even
though it should, because the lower case 'y' gets folded to
upper case CERTIFICATE=MY* was actually used internally.

Local fix

  • Only filter up to the first lower case character, or do not use
    a filter.

    * RECOMMENDATION: After applying the PTF that resolves this *
    * APAR, all CMASes must be recycled to pick *
    * up the new code. These regions do not *
    * need to be brought down and restarted at *

    ****************************************************************
The string value for the certificate attribute used in filters
is incorrectly folded to uppercase. This results in incorrect
filtering based on this value, with records with mixed case
certificate values matching the input filter string, not being
correctly returned on get requests through one the CICSplex SM
interfaces. This is due to this value incorrectly being defined
    as being uppercase.

Problem conclusion

  • The attribute uppercase='no' has been added to the definition
of CERTIFCATE in the TCPIPS (TCPIPSevice) resource table.
