APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When Statistics Trace is enabled, and the CLASS parameter is not
  specified, Class 3 Statistics trace is started unexpectedly.

  An error in the definition of control blocks representing
  Class 3 Statistics trace causes it to be incorrectly enabled
  when no CLASS parameter is specified on the START TRACE command.
  

Problem conclusion

• Issuing START TRACE(S) without the CLASS parameter will no
  longer start Class 3 Statistics.
