Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All CICS Users. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: CICS-Db2 attach will query MVS RRS to * * obtain an XID and may see an increase * * in RRS CPU time. * **************************************************************** CICS-Db2 Attach will query MVS RRS to see if a unit of work was initiated from outside CICS and is being coordinated by MVS RRS to obtain an XID. You may seen an increase in RRS CPU time. This is because the ATRQUERY issued by CICS was sent to all systems in the sysplex regardless of their RRS logging group.
Problem conclusion
The ATRQUERY issued by CICS has been amended to remove the GNAME parameter so that it defaults to querying systems with the same RRS logging group as the current system.
