APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Customer is performing EXTRACT processing of related DB2 and
LEGACY (IMS) tables. There are relationships defined between the
DB2 tables and IMS LTs based on fields with UNSIGNED DECIMAL
data.
Optim selects SCAN as default method of following the
relationships but customer decided to override the ACM and
requested that ACM KEY be used instead.
The forced use of KEY may lead to incorrect data, or no data at
all, being extracted.

Optim is allowing for Access Method (ACM) override of KEY in
scenarios where such override may cause incorrect results.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Optim processing will be corrected and ACM KEY override disabled
while processing LEGACY tables related to DB2 tables and
involving UNSIGNED DECIMAL data.
