PH47540: ABENDS0C4 IPISPSCN + X'94' WITH AN INVALID START/STOP DATE RANGE

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• ABEND0C4 in IPISPSCN with an invalid Start/Stop date range.
  When IMS Performance Analyzer encounters an invalid Start/Stop
  date range error message(s) IPI0424E are generated and normal
  control table creation is deferred until Prescan processing.
  When the Prescan routine (IPISPSCN) creates the control tables,
  a required base register for one of the tables is not loaded
  which causes the S0C4.

Problem conclusion

• When IMS Performance Analyzer encounters an invalid Start/Stop
  date range error message(s) IPI0424E are generated and normal
  control table creation is deferred until Prescan processing.
  When the Prescan routine (IPISPSCN) creates the control
  tables a required base register for one of the tables is not
  loaded, leading to an abend S0C4 when subsequently referring
  to that table, the base register creation is corrected
  in this APAR.
