  This APAR adds support for Java 11 using IBM Semeru Runtime
  Certified Edition for z/OS. A minimum version of 11.0.17.0 is
  required. The CICS documentation will be updated to describe
  considerations for using Java 11.
  
  Note Java 11 is not supported for use with:
   - Axis2 JVM servers at CICS 5.5.
   - SAML JVM servers at all CICS releases.
  
  Java 8 continues to be supported.

• This APAR adds support for Java 11 using IBM Semeru Runtime
  Certified Edition for z/OS. A minimum version of 11.0.17.0 is
  required. The CICS documentation will be updated to describe
  considerations for using Java 11.
  
  Note Java 11 is not supported for use with:
   - Axis2 JVM servers at CICS 5.5.
   - SAML JVM servers at all CICS releases.
  
  Java 8 continues to be supported.
  
  Java 11 removed some APIs, including:
  
  - JAXB; formerly Java Architecture for XML Binding
  - JAF; formerly JavaBeans Activation Framework
  
  For ease of migration Jakarta based jar files (jaxb-api 2.3.3
  and jakarta.activation 1.2.1) are delivered by this APAR,
  supporting continued application use of these APIs.
  
  Applications that use the Apache Xerses parser may need to be
  redeployed with their own copy of the Apache Xerses code.
  
  As part of delivering support for Java 11, the Apache Aries and
  SLF4J jars provided with CICS have been updated to versions
  which support both Java 8 and Java 11.
  
  IBM recommends testing in this new runtime; changes in behaviour
  are possible, changes in configuration may also be necessary.
