PH47053: CREATING A COMPONENT, APPLICATION, FROM A TEMPLATE USING THE CLI. INHERITED PROPERTIES DO NOT RESOLVE CORRECTLY IN DEPLOYMENTS

Error description

• STEPS TO REPRODUCE
  The example below is for components, but this applies to
  Applications also.
  1. Create a Component template
  2. Create a component property on the template
  3. Create a process that uses that inherited property
  4. Create a .json that does not specify a value for that
  property, and uses the template to create the component
  5. Use that .json as the payload for the /cli/component/create
  rest call
  6. Once the component is created from the template, create the
  necessary mappings and run the component process
  
  The inherited property does not get resolved during deployment.
  

Local fix

• Fix After Creation:
  Open the Configuration tab for the Application or Component and
  click 'SAVE'
  The property will then resolve during deployment.
  
  Fix During Creation:
  Explicitly set the property in the .json used as input to the
  CLI command.
