APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Administration Tool displays Active/Staging Status of IMS
Catalog instance when its timestamp is equivalent to the object
in an IMS directory data set (when the IMS management of ACBs is
enabled) or in an IMS ACB library (when the IMS management of
    ACBs is not enabled).
Active/Staging Status should be determined by the timestamp in
the header segment of the IMS catalog database.

    * List in Database and Application *
    *                      Administration.                         *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR. *
    ****************************************************************
In Database and Application Administration, Administration Tool
displays Active/Staging status of IMS Catalog instance when its
timestamp is equivalent to the object in an IMS directory data
set (when the IMS management of ACBs is enabled) or in an IMS
ACB library (when the IMS management of ACBs is not enabled).
Active/Staging Status should be determined by the timestamp in
the header segment of the IMS catalog database.

Problem conclusion

  • IMS Administration Tool has been modified to display proper
status at Database and Application Administration as follows:

    - The status is determined by the timestamp in the header
segment of the IMS catalog database.
    - The terminology in the IMS Catalog DB at DBD/PSB Instance List
is changed from Staging status to Pending status.

Apply PH46211 to IMS Library Integrity Utilities to improve
    performance and fix several issues.
