PH46468: IMPROVEMENT OF IMS DIRECTORY / BSDS BACKUP AND RESTORE FUNCTION

Error description

• This APAR improves the following:
  1. Eliminate the "Search Backups in All IMS IDs" option when
  searching for the latest Backups, so that the option is always
  enabled.
  2. When displaying the Backup List ISPF screen, show backups of
  all IMSIDs with ACBSHR=Y in the IMSPLex to which the specified
  IMSID belongs.

  *                      IMS Directory/BSDS Backup and Restore   *
  *                      when IMS directory is shared by         *
  *                      multiple IMS systems                    *
  *                      (ACBSHR=Y parameter is set) .           *

  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR.         *
  ****************************************************************
  When an IMS directory is shared by multiple IMS systems, IMS
  Administration Tool has the following problems:
  
  - Auto Backup does not take a backup when you do not define
    settings parameters for one or more sharing IMS systems and
    the un-setting IMS is the command master of IMPORT DEFN
    command.
  - Restore from Latest does not identify the latest backup when
    the latest backup was taken with any IMS IDs other than the
    IMS ID that is specified on the restore panel and Search
    Backups in All IMS IDs option is N.
  - Backup List does not list the backups that were taken with
    any IMS IDs other than the IMS ID that is specified on the
    backup list panel when Line command L is not specified.
  

Problem conclusion

• IMS directory/BSDS backup and restore function has changed
  as follows:
  
  - The Search Backups in All IMS IDs field in the Restore from
    Latest panel is obsolete. IMS Administration Tool identifies
    the latest backup taken with all of sharing IMS systems.
  - The List Backups of the Same IMS Directory in All IMS IDs
    option in the Backup List panel is obsolete. All backups from
    all sharing IMS systems are displayed in a list from which you
    can select the backup to use for restore.
  - Define settings parameters only for one of the sharing IMS
    systems. IMS Administration Tool applies the same settings
    parameters to other IMS systems that share the same IMS
    directory.
  
  After the PTF of this APAR PH46468 is applied, do the following
  tasks:
  
  - Copy the ATYOPST0 module from smphlq.SATYLOAD to CUSTLOAD, and
    issue BPE REFRESH USEREXIT command.
    ATYOPST0 is the part of the output type OM exit, and it is
    changed by the PTF. ATYOPST0 is included in the CUSTLOAD data
    set that was created by Tools Base SETUP. The CUSTLOAD is
    specified to the OM region STEPLIB. You need to copy and
    refresh ATYOPST0.
  - Register all of sharing IMS systems to an IMS data sharing
    group.
  - Define or update settings parameters in IMS
    directory/BSDS backup and restore function for one of the
    sharing IMS systems.
