Error description

• When IMS SPUFI COBOL application ATYCFIMS is called to access a
  DEDB, ABENDU1008 occurs at DFSPCC20.

  *                      U1008 occurs at DFSPCC20.               *

  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR.         *
  ****************************************************************
  When IMS SPUFI COBOL application ATYCFIMS is called to access a
  DEDB, U1008 occurs at DFSPCC20. It results ATYCFIMS does not
  issue a SYNC or ROLB DL/I call before termination.
  

Problem conclusion

• IMS Administration Tool has been modified as follows:
  
  - ATYCFIMS issues either SYNC or ROLB DL/I call before
    termination.
    - SYNC is issued only when all of INSERT, UPDATE, and DELETE
      statements end successfully. Otherwise, ROLB is issued.
    - Refer to PH46774 about IMS SPUFI JAVA application.
  - Normal Buffer Allocation (NBA) and Overflow Buffer Allocation
    (OBA) can be specified at IMS SPUFI Options
    (ISPF interface only)
