  * USERS AFFECTED: Users of Db2 Administration Tool for z/OS    *
  ****************************************************************
  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When one change alters multiple tables  *
  *                      and one or more of these tables has a   *
  *                      LOB column, the REORG utility might     *
  *                      fail. This failure is due to the        *
  *                      CHECK-pending status of one of the      *
  *                      table spaces. The CHECK DATA utility    *
  *                      was not run on this table space,        *
  *                      because the change ran CHECK DATA on    *
  *                      the same object twice.                  *
  ****************************************************************
  After PH43820 is applied, a CM batch job is run that alters
  multiple tables, at least one of which has a LOB column, and
  runs the CHECK DATA and COPY utilities.  After these utilities
  are run, a REORG utility fails with RC8 and the following
  message:
  "CHECK PENDING ON TABLESPACE ... PROHIBITS PROCESSING"
  This error is caused by one of the table spaces still being in
  CHECK-pending status due to the change running CHECK DATA on
  the same table space twice.
  
  Another problem that can occur if the table has a LOB column
  is that the COPY utility is run on only one table space multiple
  times and not the other table spaces.
  

Problem conclusion
