Error description

• After switching from the DB2 CAF to the DB2 RRSAF, some
  customers have reported that their CPU use has gone up. PTF
  UI78950 helps to reduce CPU use when log cache is enabled, this
  APAR attempts to reduce CPU use with log cache disabled.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: After CDC switching to use DB2 RRSAF,   *
  *                      the relevant logic change leads CDC log *
  *                      reader task to use more CPU no matter   *
  *                      the Log Cache feature is engaged or     *
  *                      not. UI78950 helps to reduce CPU use    *
  *                      with the Log Cache in place, this PTF   *
  *                      helps to reduce CPU use without using   *
  *                      the Log Cache.                          *

  After applying UI78950, IIDR CDC for Db2 z/OS may still be
  reported for elevated CPU use when disabling log cache.
  

Problem conclusion

• The logic change in UI78950 for DLR task has been applied to DSL
  task.
