    ****************************************************************
A PatternSyntaxException is logged in the SystemOut.log when a
hostname is saved in the "Hostname include list" of a TCP
    Inbound
Channel. The TCP Inbound Channel page is found by going to
    Servers
    > server_name > Web Container Settings > Web container transport
chains > transport_chain and then clicking the TCP inbound
    channel
link. The exception was caused by an improper regular expression
that was used to validate the hostname field.

Problem conclusion

  • The regular expression used to validate the "Hostname include
list" field was fixed to prevent the PatternSyntaxException from
    being thrown.

The fix for this APAR is targeted for inclusion in fix pack
8.5.5.22 and 9.0.5.13. For more information, see 'Recommended
