  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: After message DRL0382I Logstream        *
  *                      closed and reopened a data loss         *
  *                      may occur.                              *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the PTF provided.                      *
  ****************************************************************
  The code to close and reopen the logstream logic incorrectly
  positioned at the start of the read loop.
  

Problem conclusion

• The logstream close and reopen logic is moved to the end of the
  read loop.
  The MODIFY LOGSTREAM FREE commands have been back fitted to
  IBM Z Decision Support.
  A new option of the MODIFY command enables the frequency of the
  logstream close and reopen to be changed.
  
  Due to the overhead in closing and re-opening a logstream
  this function is no longer started automatically when the
  Continuous Collector is started. If required this function may
  be started manually with the MODIFY command at an interval
  of the customers choice. If the function is not required to
  run continually it may be issued ad-hoc with the NOW option
  of the MODIFY command.
