APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When running with multiple CICS link servers (wola client)
    and
the Liberty profile server is recycled, the CICS link
    servers do
not reconnect. The CICS link servers are set up to retry
    using
BBOC START_SRVR with RETRY=Y so they should reconnect.

Local fix

  • run with one link server per CICS/Liberty connection

    ****************************************************************
When Multiple CICS Link servers connect from a single CICS
Address space to a single WebSphere Liberty server and the
server is recycled the rebind process will remove all the link
server registrations associated with this WebSphere Liberty
server. This fix prevents this from happening when an automatic
    rebind is in process.

Problem conclusion

  • When Multiple CICS Link servers connect from a single CICS
Address space to a single WebSphere Liberty server and the
server is recycled the rebind process successfully rebind with
the WebSphere Liberty server after it restarts.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix
pack 22.0.0.8. Please refer to the Recommended Updates page for
    delivery information:
    http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=180&uid=swg27004980

Temporary fix

  • When running with 1 CICS Link server between 1 WebSphere Liberty
and 1 CICS region. Rebinds of the WebSphere Liberty server after
    a recycle will complete successfully.
