Error description
When running a query against a table with LOB data. DSQEC_LOB_COLMAX is set to the default 32767 and DSQEC_LOB_RETRV is set to the default of 1. When the user runs the query, sees the first page of the report types in MAX on the command line and presses PF8, he unexpectedly gets DSQ14118 'LOB column length exceeds the maximum set by DSQEC_LOB_COLMAX'. The error condition is unexpected at this point. The user is using a default form with the M (meta data) edit code. If the user simply presses PF8 (Forward) he is able to successfully scroll through the report. Specifically MAX PF8 causes the unexpected problem.
Local fix
DSQEC_LOB_COLMAX can be set to 0 when running with DSQEC_LOB_RETRV=1 and using MAX PF8.

Problem conclusion
QMF module DSQFQDRM was incorrectly trying to display LOB data when running the BOTTOM and PF8 (FORWARD MAX) commands. This was happening with DSQEC_LOB_RETRV set to 1 and the LOB edit code set to 'M'. The module has been fixed.
