****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION: Apply the provided PTF.                      *

DCB storage was freed without closing the DCBs in an utility
module, causing a suppressed 0C4 on access from RTM and a
subsequent C03 abend if underlying storage ownership has changed

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Utility code amended to close DCBs prior to releasing them.
