PH44299: CICS 5.5 ABEND ASOD AT START-UP

Error description

• Receiving ASOD abends in DFHXMAB at system startup.

  The dump shows that the connection was already gone before CSOL
  had managed to attach CIEP.  We have fixed a similar issue in
  the past for IPIC connections (PI24245).
  
  
  This new APAR will allow us to extend this part of the PI24245
  fix to cover ECI connections in addition to IPIC ones.

Problem summary

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: An ASOD abend and TCPIPSERVICE          *
  *                      closed after an initial attempt to      *
  *                      acquire an ECI connection and then the  *
  *                      socket is closed before being           *
  *                      processed by CSOL.                      *
  ****************************************************************
  An attempt is made to acquire an ECI connection. Before the
  socket is processed by CSOL, it is closed by another process,
  maybe not even by CICS. This results in a GETSOCKNAME call from
  DFHSOLS failing. DFHSOLS does not handle the failure properly
  and continues as though the call was successful so task CIEP is
  attached and then fails with an ASOD abend from program DFHXMAB.
  The TCPIPSERVICE is then closed.
  

Problem conclusion

• DFHSOLS has been changed so that if a GETSOCKNAME call fails
  for the ECI protocol, no CIEP task is attached and the
  TCPIPSERVICE is not closed.
