PH44138: CICS PA 5.4 GETTING A IEC141I 013-20 ERRORS AGAINST DDNAME: SUMM0001 OUTPUT FILE HAD A LRECL=133

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• With CICS PA 5.4 in the STEPLIB using the CICSPA54.SCPALINK load
  library, the CPAMAIN program for a summary report would allocate
  a SUMM0001 output file LRECL with a incorrect LRECL=157 instead
  of LRECL=133.
  
  
  This happened when Primary key fields were specified in the
  //SYSIN parameters.
  
  The customer had
  
         FIELDS(START(DATE,PRIMARY),
  
                        START(TIMES,PRIMARY),
  
                        APPLID(PRIMARY),
  
  
  This resulted in  IEC141I 013-20 errors against ddname:
  SUMM0001 if the customer was using a predefined output file with
  a LRECL=133.
  
  If the customer was using a predefined output file with a
  LRECL=157 the  job would run with RC=000.
  

Local fix

• There are several workarounds:
       # remove PRIMARY parameter for the key fields
       # allocate a output file with LRECL=157

  When Primary key fields are specified in the SYSIN parameters
  for a summary report, it abends with IEC141I 013-20 because of
  an incorrect LRECL calculation.
  

Problem conclusion

• CPASUMMF has been changed to correct the record length
  calculation when the summary key includes Primary key fields.
