PH43975: CICS TASK CRST DOES NOT RESTART AFTER MAS AGENT RESTARTS

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The CICS Region Status (RS) domain maintains a long running
  task, CRST. This task is attached in any CICSPlex SM MAS which
  is a target region for a CPSM workload which uses sysplex
  optimised workload routing.
  If the MAS agent running within a CICS system is restarted, for
  example by using the COSH and COLM transactions, then the CRST
  task is terminated and not restarted.

  DFHRSSR can be called at various times to start a CRST task.
  As part of the process it defines the program DFHRSTK. On
  subsequent runs, e.g. COSH/COLM, it can fail as the program is
  already defined. If the define fails no transaction start is
  attempted.
  

Problem conclusion

• The code in DFHRSSR has been modified to ensure that if no
  instance of CRST is active one will be started. Also if CRST is
  already active another instance will not be started.
