Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When setting EXCI trace option on an * * 0C4 abend may occur, resulting in a * * system dump. * **************************************************************** Abend 0C4 when using the CICS External Interface (EXCI), channels and containers and TRACE is set to anything other than OFF. This abend may occur because module DFHXCBAM was using the 64bit version of the trace domain plist, when it should have been using the 31bit version. The abend is dependent on the contents of the top word of the 64 bit address when trace is called. Keywords: 0416 4036 0C4 in DFHXCTRP 4E6 R4 REG4 DFHXCOPTS 64 31 bit TRACE TRACE=3
Problem conclusion
DFHXCBAM has been changed to use the DFHTRPTM trace CDURUN call for its entry and exit tracing. DFHXCEIP has been changed to separate its domain parameter lists for serviceability purposes.
