Error description

  • The ODBC Adapter inserts garbled characters into (Oracle or
PostgreSQL) table column (defined as text or longvarchar
datatype) when larger data is being inserted for a row after
another row of smaller data is inserted. The database adapter
trace indicates the buffer is expanded "Buffer not wide enough
    for data - expanding it".

The garbled characters that are inserted vary each time the
    problem occurs.

When the problem occurs, all the rows following the larger data
row, including rows with smaller data, are also inserted with
the same garbled characters as the larger data row.

The problem does not occur if the row with the larger data is
    the first row being inserted.
