APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• A CCVBMAIN batch utility DEPLOY COLDSTARTCOMPARE report is
  submitted. The CONNECTION parameter incorrectly specifies an
  & (ampersand) in its parameter value.
  
  The CCVBMAIN DEPLOY job step fails RC=08 with information
  message
  "CCV9147I ... CCVBMAIN ended unsuccessfully with Return code 8";
  and no other error message appears.
  
  The CICS region MSGUSR output shows that CICS transaction CWBA
  failed with ABEND ASP9 in program CCVWSPMI.

Problem conclusion

• CICS Configuration Manager is corrected.  The validation checks
  for the DEPLOY statement parameters CONNECTION and others is
  improved. A CONNECTION value including & (ampersand) is rejected
  with errors.
