PH43350: SQLCODE=-181 with LOCAL DATE/TIME format

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Customer is performing INSERT of data in to a DB2 table.
  The table contains DATE columns and the subsystem has been
  defined with a LOCAL DATE format.
  Optim reports a DB2 error similar to:
  
  DSNT408I SQLCODE = -181, ERROR:  THE STRING REPRESENTATION OF A
           DATETIME VALUE IS NOT A VALID DATETIME VALUE

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Optim may report SQL errors while       *
  *                      processing DATE and TIME values during  *
  *                      INSERT.                                 *
  ****************************************************************
  The error will only occur in scenarios when the DB2 subsystem
  has been defined with LOCAL DATE or TIME formats and
  the length of such columns is greater than the default DB2
  values of 10 and 8, respectively.
  The DATE/TIME values, as presented by Optim for the INSERT
  processing, would be incorrectly padded with 0x00 characters
  causing the SQLCODE = -181 to be reported.
  

Problem conclusion

• Optim processing logic will be corrected.
