PH43177: MSGIPI0071E MESSAGE ISSUED DURING IMS PA EOD PROCESSING

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Error message IPI0071E is issued during IMS PA EOD processing.
  IMS restart(s) had been encountered during IMS log processing,
  resulting in a duplicate IMS Recovery Token being prcoessed.
  The original transaction was the parent in a program-switch
  chain and the subsequent transaction was an IFP transaction,
  which was reported and flushed. This left the original
  program-switch chain orphaned and resulted in the IPI0071E
  message being issued.
  
  Error message received:
  IPI0071E  Error on some IMS PA Queue, internal logic error
  
  Note: This APAR is being forward fitted to IMSPA V450 via
  APAR PH43942.

Problem conclusion

• On encountering an IMS restart, IMS PA will now cause EOD
  processing to be initiated by the Transit Engine, resulting
  in all transactions on the queues at that time to be
  reported and flushed.
