PH42937: ALTER "INTEGER WITH DEFAULT 1" TO "WITH DEFAULT NULL" GENERATES DROP/RECREATE IN CHANGE MANAGEMENT WHEN ALTER POSSIBLE

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• A change to a column's default value from 1 to NULL can be done
  in a direct alter to the column, e.g. ALTER TABLE ALTER COLUMN
  SET WITH DEFAULT NULL.  However, when Change Management
  is used (for example, to import the change), Analyze
  generates a drop and create of the table.
  

Local fix

• Use Classic Compare (without Change Management) to generate the
  ALTER.
