Error description

  • In the TCP_ZERT_CONNECT_*  for the zERT component, fields
LOCAL_SUBJECT_DN & FOREIGN_SUBJECT_DN are defined as CHAR(4).
They should be defined as CHAR(32)

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The length of the columns               *
*                      LOCAL_SUBJECT_DN and                    *
*                      FOREIGN_SUBJECT_DN in the               *
*                      TCP_ZERT_CONNECT_* tables is incorrect  *
*                      and the certificate information is      *
*                      not always displayed in the             *
*                      Cognos reports.                         *

* RECOMMENDATION: Apply the provided PTF(s).                   *

The length of the columns LOCAL_SUBJECT_DN and
FOREIGN_SUBJECT_DN in the TCP_ZERT_CONNECT_* tables is too
short and there are instances when the certificate information
is not displayed.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • IBM Z Decision Support and IBM Z Performance and Capacity
Analytics are changed to increase the length of
FOREIGN_SUBJECT_DN and LOCAL_SUBJECT_DN from 4 characters to
254 characters and to display certificate information.
