The spill file is the work data set which stores log records for
CA group and it is used as input file DFSULOG data set in the
sort process task. When the spill file has been deleted before
the sort process task, the sort process task cannot access it.
As the result, the sort process task in SAS cannot access the
spill file by message IKJ56228I ( MSGIKJ56228I ) and terminates
abnormally with ABEND S0C1 ( ABEND0C1 ). The IMS HP Change
    Accumulation job terminates with RC=20.

Problem conclusion

  • By this APAR, IMS HP Change Accumulation has been modified as
    follows:
    - If the spill file is deleted unexpected reason in the master
address space, IMS HP Change Accumulation issues error
      message HPC3500E ( MSGHPC3500E ) and ABEND U3500
( ABENDU3500 ). Its job step return code is RC=20.
    - If the spill file cannot be accessed as DFSULOG data set in
the sort process task, IMS HP Change Accumulation issues
      error message HPC3501E ( MSGHPC3501E ) and ABEND U3501
( ABENDU3501 ). Its job step return code is RC=20.
